What is your Refer-a-Friend Program?
The Ohio Natural Gas® (ONG) Refer-a-Friend Program allows current and new ONG customers to earn Visa Reward Cards when existing ONG customers refer friends who enroll with ONG.
How much can I earn?
You can earn up to $500 in Visa Reward Cards per calendar year, every year! See Refer-a-Friend Program Terms and Conditions for additional information.
How do I get rewarded for referring my friends?
Referring your friends is easy! First, get your unique Referral Code here, and then share it with your friends. Each time a friend signs up with ONG on an eligible ONG price plan, provides your Referral Code during their enrollment, and then begins burning gas on that eligible ONG price plan, you’ll earn rewards. How do I share my Referral Code?
Sharing your personal Referral Code is easy. We’ve even built some easy-to-use tools to help you. Use your ONG account number to log in here and access the following tools:
- 1. Share by Email: Simply input your friends email addresses, and we’ll send them a custom email with all the information they need to easily sign up with ONG.
- 2. Share Socially: Use Facebook and Twitter to share your Referral Code with your friends. Just click on the social media icon in your Refer-a-Friend account here to post a customized message to your feeds.
How does my friend enroll with Ohio Natural Gas?
New customers can enroll with Ohio Natural Gas at onlyong.com or by calling toll-free at 1.888.466.4427. Simply ask your friend to enter your Referral Code in the Referral Code box when they enroll online, or provide your Referral Code to the Customer Service Representative when they call. Be sure to remind them to provide your Referral Code when enrolling, or you will not be eligible for your Refer-a-Friend reward.
How will I know if someone signs up with my Referral Code?
When one of your friends enrolls with ONG and provides your Referral Code during enrollment, we'll send you an email to let you know that an enrollment with your Referral Code has occurred. If you haven't provided us with an email address, we won't be able to notify you. You can add or change your email address by logging in to your Online Customer Service Account. When will I receive my Refer-a-Friend rewards?
After your friend enrolls with ONG, it can take 3-5 weeks to activate their natural gas service with ONG. As long as you are still an ONG customer when this happens we will send you your Visa Reward card. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing and delivery of your Visa Reward Card by mail. How do I check the status of my Refer-a-Friend rewards?
We’ve designed an easy-to-use dashboard for you to review Refer-a-Friend rewards. Use your ONG account number to log in here to view your rewards activity.
If I refer my friends what do they get?
In addition to getting ONG natural gas service, your friends will also be able to choose the plan and offer that best suits their needs. They can choose from our current Refer-a-Friend offer or any of our other special promotions. They simply need to provide a promo code when they enroll.
What is the difference between a Referral Code and a promo code?
A Referral Code earns existing ONG customers a reward for referring their friends to ONG through the Refer-a-Friend program. A promo code gives a new customer a promotional benefit for enrolling with Ohio Natural Gas.
I sent my friend an email from your online email tool but my friend never received the email. What could have happened?
Please have your friends check their spam folder or promotions tab. Additionally, your friends may have previously unsubscribed from Ohio Natural Gas’ marketing emails.
If I was referred by a friend, but forgot to provide their Referral Code, what should I do?
You have 7 days after your initial enrollment to provide your friend’s Referral Code. Please contact our customer care team by calling toll-free at 1.888.466.4427.
